Har Ki Doon Valley is a cradle-shaped hanging valley in the Garhwal Himalayas. It is surrounded by snow-covered peaks and alpine vegetation. It is connected to Baspa Valley by the Borasu Pass.

Itinerary

Day 1

Upon arrival at Dehradun Railway Station in the morning, drive towards Sankri – a beautiful village that lies in the district of Uttarkashi, about 162 km from Dehradun. This village serves as the gateway to the Har ki Doon, and it lies at an altitude of around 1950 metres above sea level. The village is located around 13 km inside the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary.

The drive from Dehradun to Sankri will take approximately 10-11 hours. Stay overnight at the pre-arranged accommodation in Sankri.
Day 2
After breakfast, proceed towards Taluka village by Car (12 km/approx), which is the starting point of the the trek. The trek from here is not difficult and en route, you will see a lot of uninhabited villages. Taluka is famous for the wide variety of flowers grown here. Today, the trekking expedition will proceed towards the scenic village Cheludgad (2700m, 13 Km / approx 5 hrs) a place where lofty, snow-clad mountains and rich vegetation can be found. Stay overnight in Camps.
Day 3
In the early morning, proceed from Cheludgad and you will be simply mesmerised by the serene sights en route Seematra (3400m, 7 km/approx. 5 hours). Stay overnight in Camps.
Day 4
Today we proceed for Har Ki Doon, which is situated on the foothills of Fateh Parvat. This picturesque valley is encompassed by high snow mountains. Will proceed towards Marinda Lake, after spending quality time in Har ki Doon, The Swargarohini Peak is located close to this glacier. Stay overnight in Lake side Camps. (3645m, 9km/6hrs approx.).
Day 5
Early in the morning, start trekking from Marinda Lake to Osla Village (approx. 7 hours), which is only about 15 km away. As you walk on this trail, witness the awe-inspiring beauty of the region.
Day 6
Today, we descend from Osla to Sankri (22 km/approx. 7 to 8 hours) via Taluka and on the way back, enjoy views of the fauna and flora of Govind Wildlife Sanctuary. Click pictures of the amazing view of the surrounding environs.
Day 7
In the morning, embark on a journey (approx. 11-12hrs) towards Dehradun Railway Station to reach by evening, from where you will continue your onward trip.

4 How to Reach?

By Air :- Jolly Grant Airport is the airport serving Dehradun, located about 48 km from the Haridwar. There is a daily flight from Delhi for Dehradun.

By Train:- An excellent rail network connects Dehradoon to other important cities like Delhi, Mussoorie, Mumbai, Varanasi, Lucknow, and Kolkata.

By Bus:- There are many regular bus services from Delhi to Dehradoon, from Delhi ISBT Kashmere Gate. We would suggest taking only government buses from ISBT Kashmere Gate. Usually, buses drop you at Dehradoon ISBT. From there you have to come to Haridwar Railway Station
